The 2020 Formula One season should have been remembered for how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the calendar and made for some peculiar racing venues. However, a legend of a driver was so strong that he manged to dominate not only the drivers on the circuit, but the worlds news headlines, and would eventually become one of the defining historical figures of the 21st Century. However, we must start back in Febuary 2020, Winter Testing, a simpler time with no COVID-19 restrictions.

Mercedes, who had dominated Formula One for the entire of the second half of the 2010s, were the focus of attention with a fancy toe angle adjuster known as DAS. All the jounalists and team personell up and down the grid excpected it to be game over before the season began. "Mere mortals, they have never seen the power of a true master behind the wheel" thought a young Canadian driving for Williams. His name was Nicholas Latifi. Fans and journalists already took a disliking to him. "He's just a stupid pay driver. He will finish last, if at all, every race" everyone cried. "It's a tragedy that young, talented drivers, such as the Formula 2 World Champion Nyck De Vries, are being shunned for boring, slow, incompetent pay drivers" cried the idiots of some throwaway magazine called Autosport. Latifi always knew he was destined for greatness. He just played the poker face...

The season finally began in Austria, and, to everyone mortal peasants shock, Nicholas Latifi scored a Grand Slam, pole position, fastest lap and race win. "Yeah, I'm pretty suprised with the result, Verstappen was generally quicker than me this weekend but he got unlucky with a poor qualifying lap and a mechanical failure. Nethertheless I'm so stoked right now" Latifi said in the post race interview... But in his head he thought "lmao those NPC's got totally rekt". The stark contrast between his God like confidence on the inside and his humble, calm demeanor on the outside would bamboozle his opponents for years to come as the never understood how he managed to find such unbelievable pace.

The other teams couldn't understand how Williams had managed to find all this pace from. From being a blob of toothpaste in 2019 to the all conquering, dominant force in 2020 Formula One had not seen since the Ferrari F2004 . The secret lies with Latifi's ability to literally see air as a physical entity. His ability to see where the air flows allowed him to help Williams create the ultimate downforce machine, one that Adrian Newey could only dream of designing. He was able to tell Williams engineers the exact shape of wing needed, and they then implement it onto the car.

The next 6 races saw Latifi assert his dominance on Formula One emphatically, winning every single one of them, seemingly effortless. However, the FiA would intervene at Monza, with an all new "Mega Advanced Pit Lane Speed Detection System" implemented at Monza. This would mean speed, instead of being measured by 1 decimal place, it would now be measured by 9 decimal places. However, all the other drivers reaches by 0.000000001 mph would be convientley ignored, and only Latifi's would be noticed. To his suprise, as he pulled in for his first pit stop, Latifi got a 10 second stop go penalty for speeding in the pit lane, even though he was extra careful. The penalty was applied once more after he also sped on his way to take the penalty, so the next time he slowed to a snail like 1 mph, and mocked the FiA on team radio whilst serving his penalty. Nevertheless, he recovered to an impressive 7th place despite this, and Lance Stroll performed the race of his life to fend off George Russell and take his first win in Formula One.

"Is Latifi's career over?" Journalists and driver's were speculating after Latifi's first race without a win, but he came back stronger than ever, dominating precedings for the next 7 events, wining the title with a ridiculous 5 races to spare, and lapping everyone but his teammate in the wet conditions of Portugal. However, a new force in Formula One was emerging, and from an unexpected source.

Haas F1 Team, under the inspiring leadrship of his Holiness Guenther Steiner, had had one of the biggest turnarounds in F1 history. After the Rich Energy fiasco of 2019, the team were predicted by beta virgin journalists to flop and drop to 9th place only ahead of Williams. However, Gigachad Guenther Steiener proved them all wrong, as, coming into the Sakhir Grand Prix the had took 2 pole positions, 2 podiums and were comfortably leading the midfield ahead of established rivals such as Ferrari and Racing Point. However, Gigachad Guenther was not satisfied with just beating the midfield. Taking down Latifi would be his only goal. He devised the 2021 plan, designed to hire the next promising young talent with similar God like abilities to Latifi, get investment, and design a worthy opponent to the new, improved 2021 Williams, the FW69. Their breakthrough win came at the Sakhir Grand Prix, as Kevin Magnussen found himself leading the race of a chaotic race, and had the pace to fend off Max Verstappen. Gigachad Guenther would go into 2021 confident the the VF-420, their new challenger would be able to beat Latifi in their hands of their new drivers, Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazespin.
