Who is the F1 driver with the longest pole position streak?
Here you will find insights into the consecutive streaks in F1 history. This view provides the driver with the most consecutive poles. There are two views, one which is continuous over seasons and the other which is limited to a season. Only consecutive streaks of 2 or more grand prix are shown.
Explanation
In the consecutive poles view, drivers are ranked based on the most number of pole positions they have achieved in consecutive grand prix. Note: this is based on the driver participanting in a GP. For example; Stirling Moss has 6 consecutive poles from the last 3 of 1959 to the first 3 in 1960 where he participated. He didn't joing the indy 500 that year. So he had basically 2 before the Indy 500 and 1 after. Similar cases for Juan Manual Fangio (twice) and Alberto Ascari. The 'over seasons' view ignores season boundaries and the 'within 'season view limits the streak to a single season. You can change the view from 'over seasons' to 'within season' using the switch on top.
