The opening round in Brazil saw Senna take another pole position, with Damon Hill making it an all Williams front row, but Schumacher got an excellent start in third and took the lead. A collision at the first corner saw a safety car period, and on the restart Senna retook the lead, but shortly before his first stop he had an engine failure, handing Schumacher his second Brazilian Grand Prix victory. In Argentina, Senna took another pole position and this time converted it into a race win, meaning he would close the gap in on Schumacher in the championship. However, in San Marino, an accident for Senna in qualifying meant that his team would spend the night repairing the car, and he was unable to set a time on Friday. On Saturday, he could only manage fourth on the grid after Schuamcher just about took pole after a thrilling battle with Hill. Hill got the better getaway, but a pitstop problem meant that he would drop all the way to 5th and would stay stuck behind Hakkinen in the slow Mclaren for the rest of the race. Senna passed Berger, but Schumacher's second win of the season meaning he increased his lead in the championship.

In Spain, Hill took his first pole of the season from Senna and Schumacher. Senna would take the lead at the start, but Schumacher was quickly closing in on the Williams, taking Hill around the outside of turn 3 on lap 4, and later passing Senna after he had another engine failure. This meant Schumacher further increased his lead in the championship over Hill, whilst Senna would be left very frustrated at the reliability of the Williams. Jos Verstappen left the Simtek team because of their incomptence, and replaced him with Gareth Rees, whilst Wendliger sat out Monaco due to illness amd was replaced by Franchitti for the one race. Senna took a dominant pole and victory, but an engine issue for Hill meant the Schumacher picked up 2nd and only lost 7 points to Senna. Panis got his first ever podium for Mclaren at one of his home races. Schumacher took pole at Canada, and comfortably lead the race, only to run out of fuel on the last lap, handing the win to Alesi, who won Ferrari's first race in almost 5 years. Both Williams retiring meant that Schumacher lost no ground in the championship.

Ahead of the French Grand Prix, it was announced that Ligier would receive Peugeot engines for 1996. This was quickly followed by the announcment that Mclaren would get Mercedes engines, leaving Sauber without a supplier for 1996. People quickly speculated that Schumacher or Senna would join Mclaren, as the Mercedes engines had been very strong in the Sauber. Tarquini would replace the ill Salo for France, whilst Coulthard would be able to get more experience in F1 as he would replace Gachot from France onwards. Schumacher would dominate the race from pole position, whilst another DNF for Senna frustrated him greatly, as he was now well behind in the championship race. At Silverstone, Hill got pole at his home race for the second consecutive time, but at the start 4th place Alesi got a lightning start and passed both Williams to move into second, whilst Schumacher lead. Hill got back past Alesi on lap 2, and set off after Schumacher. Senna also passed the Ferrari on lap 5 to move up into third. After the stops, a quick stop for the Williams team meant Hill gained ground on Schumacher, and he was also constiently setting fastest lap times. But on lap 37, Hill dived down the inside of Schumacher, taking both cars out of the race, infuriating Schumacher. This handed Senna only his third win of the year, and reignited his championship hopes, whilst Sospiri took his first ever podium finish and Coulthard his first ever points after a solid drive in the Pacific. Coulthard left Pacific and was replaced by Jean-Denis Deletraz, and Senna returned to pole position for the first time since Monaco in Germany, but the big highlight of the race was that Schumacher and Hill collided again, this time on the first lap. Schumacher was livid, demanding that Hill would be banned, accusing him of trying to help Senna to win the championship. Senna would not win however, as Berger won Ferrari's second race of the season after passing Senna shortly after his pitstop. The gap to Schumacher was now only 25 points. Hill took pole in Hungary, and dominated the race at his favorite track, whilst Senna managed to qualify second, but crucially for the championship was passed by Schumacher in the pitstops.Taki Inoue broke his leg after being run over by a medical truck, so was replaced by Massimilliano Papis for the last few races.

In Spa, Schumacher had a terrible qualifying, only down in 15th, whilst pole for Senna was huge for his championship. In the wet, Senna dominated, but a gearbox issue forced him out of the race, handing the lead to Berger, who would later retire with an engine failure on lap 20, meaning Hill was in the lead. Schumacher stormed through the field in an incredible performance, and passed Hill in the closing stages of the race, forcing him wide at Le Combes and not impressing the Williams driver. Hakkinen got his first podium in a while in third, whilst an extrodinary drive from Roberto Moreno saw his Forti just about hold off the superior Tyrell to take an incredible 5th place. However, there was sensational news around the corner at the Italian Grand Prix, that Ayrton Senna would leave Williams to join Ferrari for 1996 in an incredible move. He felt that the Williams reliability had been letting him down, so he decided to take a gamble on the team every driver dreams for driving for. The paved the way for Indycar champion Jaques Villeneuve to join Williams in 1996. Ricardo Rosset would replace Gareth Rees at Simtek, after the Brit also left because of their incompetence. Alesi took pole position, whilst Senna was alongside the man he would replace next year, but the Brazilan was stranded on the grid and was struck by Mika Hakkinen, meaning Ferrari's would be running 1st and 2nd after Berger got a good start and passed both Hill and Schumacher before the first corner. A safety car came out, and on the restart Berger took the lead, but a part fell off his car causing him to retire and damaging Alesi's front wing, handing Schumacher the lead. However, both Hill and Schumacher would retire, meaning Sospiri would lead a race for the first time. However, inspired by the tifosi on his last race for the team in red at Monza, Alesi charged on, and to the delight of the home crowd the Ferrari would pass the Bennetton in they dying stages of the race to take an epic win.  At Portugal, Senna would take his first win since Great Britain, whilst Hill lost second to Schumacher, meaning the Bennetton driver would only lose 7 points to Senna.

At the Nurburgring, Deletraz would be replaced by Montermini at Pacific. Senna would take his second consecutive pole position, but again would siffer reliability issues and retired on lap 13. This meant Damon Hill lead, but he overshot his marks at the piststop, meaning he had to have his engine restarted and dropped way down the field. This meant Alesi lead, but he was being hunted down by Schumacher. Schumacher would dive down the inside of the chicane and take the lead with three laps to go and put one hand on the championship trophy, whilst Hill would recover decently to 7th, putting him 1 point behind Senna. Senna would then make it three poles in a row, but again his race would be ended with a reliability issue, meaning only Hill could stop Schumacher winning his first World Championship here. Hill would lead the race, but a perfect stop from the Bennetton crew meant that Schumacher would be right on his tail, and he passed him on lap 22, and went on to win the race and his first ever championship. Schumacher would then end Senna's pole streak and take pole at Suzuka, and, despite pressure from both Williams, went on to win his third win in a row, his seventh of the season. This also clinched Bennetton their first constructors championship. Schumacher after the race would then announce the second sensational driver move of 1995, as he would move to Mclaren Mercedes in 1996, fulfilling the speculation at the French GP. In Australia, Hakkinen would suffer a huge accident in practice, meaning he would not start the race. Mclaren would field Mercedes junior driver Juan Pablo Montoya as a backup driver, in preparation for their move to Mercedes engines and to give Montoya the experience in an F1 car. Also new for the race would be Christian Abt driving for Minardi, after Badoer was dumped. Senna would claim an 8th pole of the season, but would unfortunately retire from the lead in the closing stages of the race. In a race of attrition, it was Damon Hill who won his 12th race from Berger, taking the runners up spot to Schumacher in the championshiP, whilst Panis would get a podium in Mclaren's last race with Peugeot engines and his last race for Mclaren. He would move to Ligier in 1996. This also meant Mclaren would win an intense fight for 5th in the constructors championship against Sauber and Ligier after a tough season with Peugeot engines.

1995 saw Schumacher convincingly win the title. The Williams was the faster car over the season, but too many crashes from Hill and mistakes from the team and especially reliability issues for Senna cost them the title. 1996 would be very interesting, as the two top drivers of the last two years would be moving to much slower teams, at least in 1995. Ferrari seemed like a promising move for Senna. They won three races in 1995, two for Alesi and one for Berger, and their new V10 engine should be much more reliable than the old V12. Mclaren having Mercedes engines should also be very interesting. Mclaren were let down in the last two years by Peugeot engines, although in 1995, their car was very bad, as they were beaten by Jordan in the constructors championships who had equal engines. However, Schumacher has proven he is an extremely good driver, nearly wininng the championship in 1994 and actually winning it in 1995 with inferior machinery.
