The story behind this site.
Looking for an idea to start a new project, back in 2012, I stumbled upon the F1 all-time points list on pitpass.com. It stated (at that time) that the list was no longer maintained because it wouldn't make sense to compare drivers over time with all these different points scoring systems going around. A search on the web did not lead to a source that actually maintains this kind of comparison. And a new quest was born :-) Matching my passion for F1 with my passion to create.

The result is this site. All possible combinations of all grand prix results and all points scoring systems ever in use within Formula 1 in a fully dynamic view on every F1 driver, team & nation in F1 history.

Over the years it has grown from a points-oriented statistics site to a full-blown F1 statistics site, where many of the statistics that you can find are unique in the space of online F1 statistics. One of the other unique features is the F1 simulator which offers a breadth, customization and precision hard to find elsewhere. And the addition of several games allows you to flex your F1 knowledge :-).

Over time and with the help of invaluable community input the data quality has improved significantly and is likely one of the most accurate found on the web. I also try to polish the site and go all out in features, design and details, some of which might be less obvious to the passing visitor.

You can discover some interesting insights on the site, but the most prominent is perhaps the observation that all the changes in the points scoring systems over time, rarely would have changed the championship outcome. There are some notable exceptions like 2008, 1999, 1997 and 1983 though one cannot not factor out that a championship would have run another course under a different points system. In any case, enjoy and let me know what you think!

New features will be added over time, so do please come back from time to time!
