In Monaco, Pironi was having gearbox issues that caused his crash. In the Netherlands, I felt bad for Ferrari and decided that taking away Piquet's victory was a noble cause, while in Italy on, Villeneuve is running the turbocharged Ferrari, which appeared faster than the normal Ferrari in 1980. In Canada, none of the drivers driving their spare cars would've been driving them, and Pironi wouldn't have been penalized.
I'm taking any chance I can get to help Ferrari in their most uncompetitive season of all time, to give the slower car an advantage. While my bias must play some part, you must also consider that this is just trying to even the playing field without making too wild guesses.
